Some how the up grade got put on my account and there shouldn't have been
As long as you haven't submitted payment, deducted the TurboTax fee from your refund, or registered, you can erase your return and start from scratch in TurboTax Online.
I need to clear and start over.

If you have not paid for the online edition you are using, have not filed your tax return or registered the Free edition, then you can clear your return and start over with a lower priced edition. Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the program screen while working on the 2020 online tax return. Click on Clear & Start Over.
I followed the instructions but can't find tax tools on the menu on the left.

You have to open your Online return interview first in order to have a full left column menu.
What's your story? You haven't said anything about your situation.
There is NO Clear and Start Over option under TAX TOOLS for 2022 Deluxe version ... I guess Im going to have to DELETE each item in order to START over .... FRUSTRATING

@Randy A If you already registered or paid, you cannot clear and start over. So, indeed, if you have changes to make before you file you will have to fix each "thing" that was not okay. You will not be able to clear it all out.
I see this answer whenever I search for "start over," but nothing called "tax tools" is visible anywhere. I'm near the beginning - I haven't even entered any income (all 1099s) yet. I accidentally deselected an income source (a 1099) from last year I should have transferred to this year's return. I just want to start over, but I can't seem to delete the current return.
Same problem here.

TAX TOOLS is down pretty low in the left menu column. If some of the lower left menu buttons are overlaid and obscuring Tax Tools tab, then zoom in or out (probably out) on your screen to separate them and display the full length of the left column menu. Then you should be able to click on the Tax Tools tab, and then a submenu with a choice of Tools. Then in the Tools window, you should see a link to "clear and start over."
@phillight I edited my comment above since I had "Tools" and "Tax Tools" in reverse order. Sorry about that. I have now corrected it above.
