I'm not sure of my dates of employment. What should I put? Would an estimate and not exact dates be okay?

Where is it asking you for dates of employment?

What state? And.....did you live or work in more than one state in 2022?

Michigan and only Michigan

Maybe someone more familiar with the MI form will know how picky MI is about those dates.  You could edit your post to include Michigan as part of your question by clicking those three little blue dots on the upper right in your original post.   My gut feeling is you would be okay to "guesstimate" the dates---- but maybe someone else knows better.

Are you preparing a city return? If so, a “guesstimate” will probably be fine as long as you are close. City returns don’t have deductions that are dependent on the time you spent living or working in a taxing district.

If you have old pay stubs, you can look at the dates on those.

If you had a direct deposit, look for your last paycheck deposit. Your employment would have ended one or two weeks before your last check if you were paid every two weeks.
