If you receive an error code that says, "The license code you entered is not valid. Error code: XXX", it means the code you're entering is either not valid for that product or is no longer active. Check that you're entering the code exactly as it appears on your CD insert or copy and paste it directly from your Downloads.

 

If you receive a error code with a message saying, “All available activations for that code have been used,” that means your code has already been used the maximum number of times, and therefore can’t be used to install the software on another computer. TurboTax can be installed on up to five computers using the same license code. 

 

If you receive either one of these errors, wait a few minutes and re-enter your license code:

  • Sorry, we're experiencing a problem on our end. Please try again later. Error code: 620
  • There was an error with validating your license code, please try again later. Error code: 630

If you’re still having trouble with your code, Contact us .

I have called 4 times on this same issue.  No resolution after many recommendations from support

Goodbye 4.5 hours of frustrating phone conversation. Your link below has been seen 100+ times. You have offered no solution to this issue. What a mess. Absolutely some of the worst software issues I've ever seen. 

 

I've restarted

I've updated Windows

I've disabled firewalls

I've Forwarded Ports

I've Shared my Screen to Show your Rep

I've downloaded it from Amazon

I've downloaded it from your site (with link provided)

I've prioritized the app to all private/public

And a lot more. -- NEED A SOLUTION ASAP.

No, I wasted 4-5 hours of my life on the phone and probably another 3 hours off the phone. 

Had to file it on my wife's MAC, what a joke. I'll never file with Turbotax again, especially after they just repeat "check our FAQ" and "contact us" - but won't address the fact there is an actual issue they cant resolve.

@snyder698 Happy to hear you filed but this is not the type of experience we want for our TurboTax users: our whole goal is to make taxes simple and convenient, this was not your case.  Feel free to PM me with more feedback on your interactions from our team and I'll share it with those involved.

Like I said, I will never use Turbotax again. 

 

I just wish Turbotax would solve their issues with software for the public.Let me recap it:

 

  1. Turbotax worked fine, Loaded up and inputted data
  2. Update (which you cant deny to use on Windows) 
  3. Asking for Activation Code --- doesn't accept
  4. Go onto support, find a bunch of useless FAQ/Contact us 
  5. Contact Turbotax Support -- No resolution
  6. Contact Turbotax Support -- Told to "just refund through amazon and buy it through us" (hassle + more expensive) -- No Resolution
  7. Crawl through forums wasting my time trying to find solutions
  8. Spend hours doing "fixes" that are useless.
  9. Contact Turbotax Support - No Resolution
  10. Contact Turbotax Support - Offered No Resolution for Windows but offered a MAC license (which I don't want to do, but no choice). 
  11. Never use Turbotax Again, Tell everyone of my experience. I felt completely vulnerable-- I don't want to have issues with such an important thing. Maybe one day you guys will figure out a solution to this issue, but how can I rely on you now? I can't. Relationship ruined.

I'm also having the same issue.  Used license code after downloading software and inputted all my info.  I knew I was waiting for some more tax forms so I saved it and now can't get back in.  Was on a call with TT support for 2.5 hrs with screen share....we uninstalled, reinstalled Turbo tax software 5 separate times during which I ended up updatinig windows, running as administrator, and getting new license code.  None of these things worked.  Now I am still stuck.
