My employer won't give me a w-2

The answer provided from @marilynjoy let you know what to do if you cannot get your W-2 from your employer.

If you haven't received your W-2 by February 14, it's time to take action:

1. Grab your last 2021 pay stub and call the IRS at 1-800-829-1040
2. The IRS will ask you for some info before following up with your employer
3. After notifying the IRS, you can either continue waiting for your W-2 or paper-file your return using Form 4852 and your last pay stub

I am glad you stated this. I am going to contact them and ask them can they send me a copy of my W-2 because I am anticipating my company will try to pull this mess.

@dmcla32 This is an old thread that has had no activity in more than a year.  Employers have until the end of January 2024 to issue your 2023 W-2.   Make sure the employer knows where to send your W-2.
