I just bought TurboTax 2019 - How to Connect to TurboTax Online for 2018 Return?

I just bought and downloaded TurboTax 2019 (it was the only option).  It tried to look on my computer for the prior year (2018) return, but all of my taxes have been through TurboTax Online.  How do I get it to connect to TurboTax Online or how can I download my 2018 return?

You need to log into your online account and download the .tax2018 file to transfer into 2019.  Or you will have to do 2019 from scratch.

See if you can get the .tax2018 file by using the amend instructions.  Scroll down to Your tax return & documents (you may need to select Show), select 2018 and then Amend (change) return.
