You would need to wait for the update before proceeding with completing your return or you can follow the instructions in this link here to manually update the software. Comment back if you are still having issues.
I have updated manually as instructed but still getting my e-filing rejected as before.
Since the error is a result of a defect in the program, you will need to wait for the update to be ready before re-submitting the rejected return. We thank you for your patience.
I have the same issue. I am waiting impatiently for a program update.
I got this message shown below. Not sure if TT will inform me when the new release is out or how do I find out? Then when I download does that mean I will have to do my taxes from the beginning again? And when can I now finish my business taxes? It is currently Feb 1 11:15pm ET
This electronic filing reject is the result of a defect in the tax program. This issue will be corrected in the next TTBiz release.
Wait for the next release, please download the latest version of the program. It may be necessary to re-attach the PDF file(s) again, save and re-submit the return.
We apologize for the inconvenience."
give us all sometype of timeline is what we are all looking for. i.e. early Feb or mid Feb.... currently this post was done Feb 1, @ 11:18pm
We are not able to provide a specific date at this time. However, we will escalate your concern and see if we can provide an update soon. Thank you for your patience.
I am also having this issue. Has anyone found a fix?
Yes, please give us an update as soon as possible. It is holding up everyone's taxes in this thread.
Once the new update is released, the software will prompt you to update, the next time you try to open your software. Other ways you can update is to click on Check for Updates, inside of the software, download a Manual Update, or uninstall/reinstall the program.
Appears the update went out today. I have e-filed and it did not reject it right away like it used to before. I assume it fixed the issue.
