I can't delete the IRC section 195(b)(1). The answer posted no longer works. There is no way to get into the "My Account" page, no "Jump to" option either

If you want to delete this form:

  • Continue working on your return in TurboTax Online. (If your return isn't open, you'll need to sign in and click Take me to my return.)
  • Click Tax Tools (lower left side of your screen).
  • Select Tools.
  • In the pop-up window, select Delete a form. (Click the screenshot below for reference.)
  • Scroll down and click Delete next to Election to Amortize Startup Costs. (Click the second screenshot below.)

If you want to delete the startup costs:

  • Continue working on your return in TurboTax Online. (If your return isn't open, you'll need to sign in and click Take me to my return.)
  • Click Tax Tools (lower left side of your screen).
  • Select Tools.
  • In the pop-up window, select Topic Search.
  • In the I'm looking for: box, type sch c.
  • In the results bar, highlight sch c, then click GO.
  • Under Your self-employed work summary, click Edit next to the line of work. (Click the third screenshot below.)
  • Under Here's your work info, scroll down under EXPENSES and click the trashcan icon next to Startup costs. (Click the fourth screenshot below.)
  • Under the Startup Cost Summary, click Delete next to the cost you wish to delete. (Click the fifth screenshot below.)

Old thread, but I ran into the same issue. Hopefully this helps someone in the future:

The answer didn't help me since startup costs weren't listed in my EXPENSES section. The form is also absent under Tax Tools. However, I was able to resolve the issue by adding startup costs THEN subsequently removing them. Upon continuing with my return and reviewing, I was no longer prompted for this form.
