I bought a CD of premier and am trying to download but with typing in "installturbotax.com" I do not find a place to enter the license code. where do I enter the code.

Try these instructions.  Your link is not working.  

1. Go to InstallTurboTax.com.
2. Set up a TurboTax account if you don't already have one. If you do, sign in. (If you don’t remember your credentials, you can walk through our Account Recovery page to see if you already have an account.)
3. Enter your license code in the pop up window.
   • It’s a 14-character combination of letters and numbers (XXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX) that can be found on your CD box insert, envelope, or packing slip.
4. Select your operating system, and select Get Download.
5. Download your software and install.
   • When you get to the Your product is installed, now let's activate it screen, enter your license code in the License code box, and select Continue to complete installation.

My daughter bought a five download pc version of the 2019 home and business at Costco.  She is offering me one of the downloads, but I use a Mac. I have the download key, but can only get the .exe file (PC compatible) to download.

It seems like the acivation key is associated with her TurboTax account and I don’t know that info.

i think what is happening is that you can only use that key once. If you try to use it again, it won't work. Usually it will indicate on the box how many users can use this product. Usually it's only one.

If you purchased the CD then install the software on your personal computer using the CD.  You cannot download the TurboTax installation file if you purchased the CD.

Yes, download it instead of using the CD.  The download is better in case you need to reinstall it or to also install on another computer .

There should be a card in the CD case on on the CD envelope that says how to download it and you will need the 14 or 16 digit code from it to enter.
