Go to the tab labeled "Federal Taxes," look for "other Return Info," and under that title, look for "Identity Protection PIN." To the right of that is the blue button called "Start," click that button and read the instructions. Enter the PIN the IRS sent you, review the PIN number, make any changes and save.

Select the "Personal" Tab, then select "Other Tax Situations" then go down to "Other Return Info". You will see "Identity protection PIN" Select Update and enter the 6 digit IP PINS for all persons that have an IP PIN. Remember, this is the IP PIN that the IRS generated for you.
The instructions don't work. I don't have a blue button to click on. Why is this problem continuing every year?

To enter, edit or delete a 6 digit IP PIN
Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
Click on Other Tax Situations
Scroll down to Other Return Info
On Identity Protection PIN, click the start button
The blue "Start" button will turn gray once you click on it and say "Update".
