I activated/entered all of my info into TT 2019 months ago. Ready to file now. Asking me to activate my key again. Tried all 4 methods posted on the website. What now?

This is really annoying.  If I "activate" the key over and over again, I will run out of the 5 activations.  What do I do?  You can get through the automated system to actually talk to someone.  I've used TurboTax for decades and this has never happened.

Also try this.  A user reported this worked for him/her:

 

  • Close TurboTax.
  • Right-click on your desktop TurboTax icon, and choose Properties.
  • In the Properties popup, go to the Compatibility tab.
  • Place a checkmark for "Run this program as administrator."
  • Click Apply and OK/Save.
  • Launch TurboTax, and see if it still asks you to activate.

I've tried all of the recommended fixes listed by Turbo Tax and none worked.  I also tried this person's "run as administrator" steps.  It didn't work either!

 

Now what?
