You should look for a letter from the IRS and if you do not have one or do not receive one, you would need to call the IRS at 800-829-1040 as no one else would have the answer as to why your refund was reduced.
I was advised that if I didn't get my full covid relief payment from 2020 to file it with this year's return. I was directed by two different agents in turbo tax to NOT amend 2020 abut to file it with 2021. So they gave me incorrect information. That is why I called twice because it didn't sound right. And the second agent disconnected and never ret my call.
And the site advertised that filing would be free and then charged at the end anyways. That's false advertising!
