hello my name is Cheryl [PII removed] and I am having problems getting my pin number. i have tried on line and still nothing happened. the address i have on file is wrong. i also tried to change my address on line and nothing happened.
Are you referring to your IP PIN from the IRS? Only the IRS can issue this. You can contact the IRS through the link below:
Or, contact the IRS via phone, 800-829-1040
The IRS discontinued the use of the e-filing PIN. You will need to use your 2018 Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) instead. See the following link for more information.
I tried to file my 2019 taxes and don't have a paper copy of my 2018 AGI because my old computer crashed with it on the hard drive, and I'm on Turbotax on my new computer. I don;t have a ip number. So I used a State AGI which was available to me. I was rejected, of course.
Help. me find my 2018 AGI or pin, I'm 77 and totally stressed.
I have a one page copy of my AGI's from 2013-2017. Thanks
You can order a copy of your transcript from the IRS if you do not have a copy of your prior year return.
Prior, I went to that Transcript site. I didn't have all of the requirements. I have a newer Credit Card number that they recognize. I don't have any loans out in my name or anyone elses, and I don't own a mobil phone, I have had a land phone all of my life. That is as far as I got to qualify. Trust me that I have tried everything possible for me. I do appreciate your help, but it would not work for me. Too many tears, too much stress, not many people want to help when you get old. God Bless You for trying. It would have worked for me if I owed loans, had a mobile phone, and my credit card was old!!
how do I found 5 digit code from last year?
You can use any 5-digit number.
Can you please send me my five number I’d code from last year
how do I retrieve my personal pin from last years tax return
How to find. Agi number and digit
Need my pin number didnt get one
IDENTITY PIN
Per the IRS:
Taxpayers who previously have been issued an Identity Protection PIN but lost it, must use the Get an IP PIN tool to retrieve their numbers. Taxpayers who have an IP PIN need to provide it when they file their return or if they are using the Non-Filer tool to enter their Economic Impact Payment information. You were asked for your 2018 AGI so that you can e-file 2019. The 2018 AGI is how the IRS verifies your identity--they match up the SSN and the 2018 AGI with the person trying to e-file a 2019 return.
Where do I find my AGI?

Your 2018 tax return shows your 2018 Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) If you filed a joint return then the AGI is the same for each of you.
Form 1040 line 7
If you are using the same TT account that you used last year, you should also be able to find this number in your Tax Home for 2018
If entering the amount from your 2018 tax return does not work, then try entering “0” instead. If that does not work and you still cannot e-file, then print, sign, and mail your tax return.
You can get a free transcript of your past return from the IRS:
https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript
Note: If you filed late or amended your return, your correct 2018 AGI may not be in the system.
https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1944348-how-do-i-print-and-mail-my-return-in-turbotax-online
Note: If you mail your federal return, you will also need to mail your state return. You will not be able to e-file your state return.
If you need your 5-digit e-filing PIN, there is a way to see it but you need to have a copy of Turbotax installed on your own computer. If you are using Turbotax online, it will automatically carry over if you use the same online account this year as last year.
If you need a 6 digit identity protection PIN, you can only get that from the IRS.
