How can I find out if someone claimed me as a dependant?

@Byrd2566 The IRS will not tell you if anyone claimed you.   But if your e-file is being rejected because your SSN is in the system, that is a big clue that someone claimed you----or maybe typo'd your SSN by accident.  You cannot overcome a duplicate SSN rejection.  Your return can only be filed by mail, and the IRS will sort out the duplicate use of your SSN.

When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s.  Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.

Federal and state returns must be in separate envelopes and they are mailed to different addresses.  Read the mailing instructions that print with your tax return carefully so you mail them to the right addresses.

@Quinell A spouse can never be claimed as a dependent.   If you are legally married your filing choices were to file a joint return or married filing separately.  Why are you asking this question at this time?  What is going on?

 It was blocked to my attention that he might have been claiming me at 1 of his taxes for the past 10 years I get disability so I don't claim taxes so I'm wondering if it was true.

As stated in this thread for the same question - There is no way to find out if someone claimed you as a dependent on their tax return.

if you e-filed and did not check someone can claim you as a dependent but someone did file claiming you as a dependent your return will be rejected with a reject code. there's no way to fix this to enable you to e-file. Your return will have to be mailed. Sooner or later both parties will get letters from the iRS to maned by not claiming the dependent. if neither does, the IRS follows up with a second letter requestion proof on entitlement to dependentcy claim.  

From your standpoint the law is not whether someone actually claimed you but whether someone is entitled to claim you even if they decide not to.
