Tax Year Prior to 2020: I want to talk to a HUMAN

It's common to end up with multiple accounts. First LOG OUT of whatever TurboTax account you're logged into right now. Then use this TurboTax account recovery website to get a list of user ID's for an email address. Run the tool against any email addresses you may have used
https://myturbotax.intuit.com/account-recovery/

If you used the Desktop CD/Download program then the only copy is on your computer and not saved or stored online.

You can also request a transcript from the IRS

Or do you mean your Refund?

You are not alone. Millions are still waiting. Turbo Tax only gives you an estimated date. The IRS usually pays most refunds within 21 days. But these are not normal times. This year is taking the IRS longer to send the refunds. There are millions more people filing returns to get the Stimulus payment.

This is a public user community forum--not a direct route to TurboTax Support.  For your privacy and security, you should not post any personal info in the public forum.   No one from TurboTax Support will phone you from this forum, but other people could try to phone to scam/spam you.  It looks like the forum privacy filter removed your phone number for your protection.

It's not clear what you are doing.   If you need to prepare an original 2019 return, then be aware that Online TurboTax is only for 2020 returns.     You said "fix my updated number" and "finish my taxes from 2019."     Since you said "finish", are you needing to work on a 2019 original return that you started online last year and was never filed?  Or are you trying to amend a 2019 return that was successfully filed last year?

If you started a 2019 return in Online TurboTax last year, but never filed it, and if you now need to correct it in order to file it as an original return, then you will need 2019 desktop software (CD/download) to install on your computer.   Then you can download the *.tax2019 data file you started online and finish it in the 2019 software.

If you already paid for your 2019 return, then TurboTax Support should furnish you the 2019 software.

Hours are currently 5AM-5PM Pacific (8AM-8PM Eastern) Monday-Friday.

FAQ: What is the TurboTax phone number?

Or you can use this contact form to get a phone number, or it may schedule a callback.

If you didn't pay already for your 2019 return and need the software to finish and file an original return, then you can purchase the 2019 software as a download from TurboTax at this page:

Once a tax return has been Accepted by the IRS or a State, TurboTax receives no further information concerning the tax return or the status of any tax refund.

The IRS is seriously behind in processing 2020 tax returns.  This is due to many factors, such as the pandemic, completing processing of millions of 2019 tax returns, stimulus payments, unemployment compensation exclusion tax refunds., changes in the tax code by Congress in the middle of the 2020 tax season and the like.

Millions of taxpayers have not yet received there federal tax refunds.

Go to this IRS website for operational status - https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/irs-operations-during-covid-19-mission-critical-functions-continue

As of July 3, 2021, we had 16.8 million unprocessed individual returns in the pipeline. Unprocessed returns include tax year 2020 returns such as those requiring correction to the Recovery Rebate Credit amount or validation of 2019 income used to figure the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC). This work does not require us to correspond with taxpayers but does require special handling by an IRS employee so, in these instances, it is taking the IRS more than 21 days to issue any related refund. If, as a result, a correction is made to any RRC, EITC or ACTC claimed on the return, the IRS will send taxpayers an explanation. Taxpayers are encouraged to continue to check Where’s My Refund? for their personalized refund status and can review Tax Season Refund Frequently Asked Questions.

What you should do: If you filed electronically and received an acknowledgement, you do not need to take any further action other than promptly responding to any requests for information. If you filed on paper, check Where’s my refund? If it tells you we have received your return or are processing or reviewing it, we are processing your return, but it may be under review. We’re working hard to get through the backlog. Please don’t file a second tax return or contact the IRS about the status of your return.

I did my taxes back in March of 2021 and I still haven't received my money. Why is it taking so long?
