How can I delete my state return and start over? I can't seem to correct errors from this platform. I have done a search and none of the answers solve my issue on this.

I don't get any delete or edit options when clicking on STATE TAXES or anywhere else.

How can I delete my state return and start over? I can't seem to correct errors from this platform. I have done a search and none of the answers solve my issue on this.

First, double-check that when signing in to TurboTax Online that you open your return by clicking the orange Take me to my return button. Then the "clear and start over" option will appear.

If it doesn't, you may have registered already.

You can delete your TurboTax Online state return as long as you haven't paid for it yet (or registered in a free version):

1.       Sign in to your return, if you're not already signed in.
(To do this, sign in to TurboTax and select the orange Take me to my return button.)

2.       Click State Taxes near the top of your screen, and then Select Your State Returns.

3.       On that screen, click the Delete link right next to the Edit button, and then answer Yes.

If you don't see the Edit or Delete button on the Your State Returns screen and haven't paid or registered, please do the following:

1.       Click State Taxes.

2.       Select the Your State Returns screen.

3.       Click Start next to the state you want to delete.

4.       After the transfer of the information completes, click Continue.

5.       Once the next screen has loaded, click State Taxes and then select Your State Returns.

6.       Click Delete next to the state that you want deleted.

7.       Click Yes.

In some cases, you won't see the option to delete, just Edit and Start Over. This is because you either already paid for your state or registered your free version while that state was attached to your return.

I have a situation where Turbo Tax 2021 will not generate a MI 1040 form.  I owe no tax - and I'm not trying to e File - I just want to generate a MI 1040 form to mail in.  I get an message

I'm on screen Analysis - Let's make sure your taxes are correct - I hit continue
next screen is Give us a minute to look things over...... analysis complete bar comes up - I hit continue
Tax Summary for 2021 I hit continue
one area for review - I hit check entries 
it says not Eligible for Electonic filing - Why?  Well , it looks like you have a tax situation in your Michigan return that makes it ineligible for e-filing 
Reason for e-file ineligibility: Returns with Form M!-1040 not completed for filing are not eligible for electronic filing.  These are the rules set by the Michigan department of Treasury.  The good news is you can still print your Michigan return and file it by mail
 
I ran smart check again and got the same message -  I looked at print preview and there is no MI 1040 form to Print.
Returns with Form M!-1040 not completed for filing - I do not understand why my return is not completed - Turbo Tax has said it is complete - no errors - except this note Form MI 1040 not completed - what is not completed?  I need help 
I do not understand why I'm not getting a MI 1040 form.  I don't really care about e filing - I just want the form to be created.

It is a good idea to first clear your cache and cookies - which means removing all of the temporary programs that can gum up your web browser.  If that doesn't work, try using a different web browser.

You are probably better off having someone walk through the return with you to look at your entries so I recommend getting live expert help.
