When you started your return, was it started by clicking on the Fidelity page or on Turbo Tax? @erobles_tax
I have tried all of the suggestions to get the Fidelity sponsored free premier turbotax offer but when I click file, I am still being charged the discounted rate of 74.00 Where is my free filing offer?
Did you start your return on the affiliate partner's website? If you have already filed your return, our agents are unable to apply or issue you a refund for the affiliate discount if your return was prepared using the regular TurboTax.com site.
I began from the TurboTax link on the Fidelity page followed the steps in the instructions (see below the pop-up. When I click on "my fees" I get this pop-up window. What else do I need to do to get the correct pricing?
TurboTax Premier | $89.00 | ||
TurboTax State: Michigan | $59.00 |
Total Due: | $148.00* |
* plus applicable sales tax

In my opinion the free Premier filing is a scam between Fidelity and TurboTax. After doing all the entries and getting ready to file - TurboTax holds you hostage and only gives the customer the option of paying full price, or going elsewhere to file. I personally did not think that Fidelity would participate in this shoddy style marketing. Can we trust our finances to these type organizations - or go elsewhere ? If your employer uses Fidelity for it's retirement plan it may be time to voice your comments to the H R department .
Deleting my cookies didn't work. I've done it twice. I deleted all my "Cookies and other site data" and my "Cached images and files" in Chrome for "All Time." Then I restarted my laptop. Then I went to "My Fees" and it still says $89 for federal and $59 for state for a total of $148. What should I do now?
Please feel free to contact Customer Support so they can assist you with this. You will want to use the keywords billing issues when you call so you get to the right person.
Scam, yes, but I blame it on TurboTax. Although Fidelity should check it out for viability before endorsement.
Shame we have to call and after filing get no recourse, no refund of $89 required to file! Just won't ever use turbo tax abain.
It has happened to me twice and I have 4 accounts with Fidelity. As many complaints I see - it may be a set-up that both Fidelity and TurboTax know happens. I did not think that Fidelity would get involved in a "scam" like this.
