If an AGI value of zero rejects, you can mark that you did not file in 2020 and the file will go
through. The IRS does not care, it is an e-file requirement from Intuit.
How do you tell Turbotax I did not file in 2020?

In Step 3 of the File section you are asked if you filed a 2020 tax return. Answering No to this question will enter a 0 (zero) for the 2020 AGI.
If the IRS does not have your 2020 AGI in their database a 0 for the 2020 AGI will be accepted.
Otherwise enter the 2020 AGI from your 2020 Federal tax return Form 1040 Line 11. If this is also rejected by the IRS then your only option is to print and mail the 2021 tax return.
