I just efiled a 3rd return and received a pop-up message stating that my 5 efile limit has been reached. I have only efiled 3, so this message is incorrect.

did you have any rejected e-files for the first 2 returns?
No, I did not.
Were you able to get 2 additional efiles or figure out what happened?
I just received the same warning after 3rd efile.
If you think your number of e-filed returns is in error, you can contact TurboTax Support using this link: Turbo Tax customer support.
TurboTax desktop editions allow you to prepare unlimited returns but limit electronic filing (e-file) to a maximum of five federal returns per license. This five-return limit is mandated by the IRS, and once exceeded, all additional returns must be printed and filed by mail.
For TurboTax Online users you can e-file one federal return per account; multiple returns require separate accounts.
You can check this by reviewing your e-file history in TurboTax Desktop by going to File, Electronic Filing, Show Electronic Filing Status History to see which returns were counted as e-filed.
I just had the SAME problem. efiled federal 3x, got the message that I reached my 5 limit. No resubmissions. All 3 were accepted on first attempt. Waited 20 minutes for useless customer service to tell me that I had to file my next one by paper. THAT IS UNACCEPTABLE. And it looks like for the many discussions posted related to this, there is no solution. Intuit keeps raising the price of TurboTax and then we have to deal with this? I have no choice to file the 4th (not the 6th) by paper but I will not give Intuit another penny next year. Fool my once, but never again. And for those who are responding to these message saying just reach out to Turbotax support, you are not helping because my experience (and many other on multiple discussion boards) are in same situation - Customer support was contacted and they were USELESS. Intuit can and should fix this but when they tell you to just file by paper, THAT IS NOT A SOLUTION AND SURELY NOT WHAT I PAID FOR
