Federal Taxes were E-filed weeks ago and 'Check E-file Status' indicates Accepted.
Now wish to file State. Payment has been made to Turbo Tax as needed.
Under 'File a Return', it recommends I E-file my Federal Return (though it's already done).
If I indicate 'E-file' in order to be able to continue on and file for State, it continues to indicate that both Federal and State will be filed. I am trying to only e-file State as Federal is Accepted.

What is the TurboTax phone number? (intuit.com)
Are you using the Online version or the Desktop program? I would go ahead and efile. The federal won't get filed again. It should reject a second time.
For Desktop, try this, You first need to update your program with the federal efile status. Go up to FILE - Electronic Filing - Check Electronic Filing Status. Then save your return, go to FILE - SAVE. Then close your return and reopen it and go though the File TAB again to file state.
How to file state after federal
Thank you for your suggestion.
It was not successful. The software still does not recognize that the Federal tax file has been e-filed successfully, though 'Check e-file Status' indicated 'Accepted'. (and our refund received)
The system indicates 'You cannot e-file this (Wisconsin) return:
'This return cannot be e-filed before your federal return has been e-filed.'
As you suggest, I went ahead and indicated to file both Federal (again) and State
Please let us know if the state return goes thru ok that way...and is accepted.
Someone else is having a similar problem with a different state.
