If you filed your tax return with unemployment compensation entered and it was filed before the exclusion was effective, the IRS is calculating the tax refund for the exclusion which is a separate tax refund.
The IRS started sending refunds in May for those that were eligible based on the unemployment compensation exclusion. The IRS will continue sending refunds in batches for the next several months.

What do you mean for dependent filers? Are you being claimed as a dependent or do you claim dependents on your your return? Being or claiming a dependent might not matter.
Did you get the original refund yet ? If you did then your return would be sent the the department in charge if making the unemployment correction so did it make a difference to your return at all ? Did you try to use the amendment process to see if the removal of the excluded unemployment actually made a difference on your return.
