You can use the Clear and Start Over Feature to erase and start your return over as long as you have not submitted payment, deducted the TurboTax fee from your refund, or registered.
Please see this help article for assistance with starting over: How do I clear and start over in TurboTax Online?
If you are unable to clear and start over, you can revisit any section to make changes using the topic search feature in TurboTax Online. On the left-hand side go to Tax Tools>Tools >Topic Search or Topic List. Then type the section or form that you need to update in the search box and click Go.
Tax Tools does not appear on the left, despite clicking on the edit icon. Original questions are not appearing. I discovered I DID pay local sales tax and cannot get back to the original place where TT asks me that, so I can't say "yes"
If you are using TurboTax Online, you should be able to see Tax Tools in your left panel of your TurboTax screen. If you can't see it, try going out oof the program and going back in.
You can get back to the sales tax section of your TurboTax program to enter your sales tax as follows:
Click here for Where do I enter my sales taxes paid?
Click here for How do I clear and start over?
