Hey I’m filing my taxes, I haven’t submitted yet, and I can’t figure out how to change my bank information. I don’t have my laptop at the moment so I have to use the phone app. I get to the finish and file part and there doesn’t seem to be any choice to change it.

Did you already e-file?  If you did NOT e-file you can go to the FILE section  step 2 to enter/change how you want to receive your refund.  If you want direct deposit you need the routing number and your own account number.

You cannot  change banking information while your return is in pending, nor can you change it after the return is accepted.  The IRS does not allow it.

I have NOT filed yet and it will not allow me to change my bank information for direct deposit like you have instructed. There are no prompts to move forward. It wants me to confirm the account info entered is accurate. That banking information must be from years ago, it is not my current bank.

I will only let me view acct information but not allow me to change anything. It is getting rather frustrating.

There is no place to update your direct deposit information.

    Thank you,

The link you sent is NOT helpful. I choose "direct deposit" and these are my options: (No other instructions given)

    1. I’d like Intuit to make checkout easier for me by storing my payment information for use with other Intuit products**

    2. This account information is correct and is where I want my refund deposited.

There is NO option to change the bank information and it isn't correct.

I am having the same issue, following the instructions to a t and it does not gie me the option to edit the direct deposit

    Hey guys!

I found the answer. So I called the support line and they told me to click “Review” and start that process which should eventually get you to the “File” section. The support person said to just click that the information is correct (trust me I know it’s weird) and it will take you further along into the process to a point where it will give you the option to change your information. It will ask you again if it’s correct after the first time just click yes and then should be the next page it’ll prompt you to change it. I know it sounds incorrect but it’s a problem within TurboTax that needs to be fixed.

You have to go to Step 2 in the FILE section.
