If you are referring to opening a password-protected data file, here's a FAQ that may help. If you are using a Mac, it's trickier, since it depends on whether you encrypted it with keychain access or not. If using Mac and encrypted the file with keychain access, it does not use security question. See this FAQ for more info:

Password to what? You didn't say what your situation/issue is. What product and what version (Windows or Mac) are you asking about? Are you referring to desktop software or Online TurboTax?
