Online tax preparation and e-filing for 2018 returns is now permanently closed. You had until midnight on Tuesday, October 15 to finish and attempt to e-file; if your e-file was rejected you had until October 20 to make corrections and re-file. Now it is too late If you already paid for your TurboTax software, you can contact customer support to push a download of the software to you.

When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s. Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS and/or your state received the return.

I also paid, they retrieved my money, and now WILL NOT let me file!!!! It was a few days after the 15th and still took my money!!!
What tax year are you trying to work on? Online preparation for 2018 is permanently closed, and the online software for 2019 is not yet ready. It will be available sometime in December.

Since you can't efile (efiling with TurboTax is now closed), you'll need to file by postal mail. If your 2018 PDF is completely finished and correct, you can print, sign, date, and mail the return according to the Filing Instructions you can print. If you need to make any changes, however, the software is needed. If you paid for a 2018 online return and didn't finish and file in time before the shutdown, TurboTax Support should furnish you the desktop software to finish.
