I want to cancel this account and open a new one that lets me install the standard turbo tax.It will not allow me to install the other program.
Are you having issues trying to install TurboTax for Desktop from a download in your account?
If you can provide more details, we'll try to help.
Here's detailed info on How to Manage Your Intuit Account and How to View Your TurboTax Accounts.
All the downloaded programs can handle all the same tax forms so you only need to install one personal tax program. Return the second program you purchased and do not need and use the one you already have installed.
Please cancel [removed]Deceased account, Services are no longer required. Please respond to [email address removed] [removed Brother/Executor to [removed].
@CWDeceased No one in this user forum can cancel a TurboTax account. We have no access to user's accounts. TurboTax accounts cannot be cancelled. But they can be abandoned, and nothing will happen to the account. No one else will have access.
Or do you mean you want to cancel an Advantage membership to stop the annual fees for the software?
I would like to cancel my services as of 06/16/2025

A TurboTax online account cannot be deleted.
If you have not paid for the online edition you are using, have not filed your tax return or registered the Free edition, then you can clear your return. Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the program screen while working on the 2024 online tax return. Click on Clear & Start Over.
If you are an Advantage subscriber where you receive the TurboTax software every November, go to this TurboTax support FAQ for canceling the Advantage account - https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/change-service-level/cancel-turbotax-adv...
@Devin031 Do you mean you have an Advantage account that you want to cancel?
