Hi I'm filing my Scorp for the first time. I have a payroll service that issues a check to me and my wife once a month.
Question:
1) Calculating Salaries and wages - do I simply add the figures in Box 1 of the W2
2) Payroll Taxes - What boxes do I add together to come up with this figure?
Thanks a bunch,
Wayne

Wages paid will be in box 3 and 5 of your W2. Your payroll tax expense will not be listed on the W2. You should have a report from your payroll company that shows the payroll tax expense paid. This is not taxes withheld and paid by the employee (you and your wife) but the company portion of payroll taxes.
Thanks Tina,
Just to be clear:
I called the payroll company, they gave me totals paid for 2019 for FED, SSI, Medicare, Cal, Disability. so, now what?
Thanks Wayne
please... what do you mean "the company's portion of the payroll taxes. I don't see that figure in any of my payroll reports.
Thanks!
I think that this is what you want to know.
Don't know about Cal unless that is California withholding tax. That would be paid by the employee.
If you are the only employee, your pay stub can confirm those things that are in doubt.
