Attempting to import from Chase

I have attempted to import my 1099's from Chase and it continues to fail. I get a request for a temporary access code which is sent via text and entered. It waits and then fails to import. Is there a work around? Otherwise I have a ton of data entry on my plate, which is what I'd like to avoid with TurboTax.

TurboTax does not ask for an access code so that must be something that Chase is doing. You should ask Chase about this issue. (Note though, import login to financial institutions is generally on a separate server not connected to your normal Chase account login so you might have a hard time getting to s Chase technician that know how tax imports work.)

In researching Chase say to select Chase Investments. When I do I need to get a Chase ID code and TurboTax says to obtain the ID code by selecting the link below. The link below takes me to an outdated web page for Chase.

Chase tells me that I import from Turbo Tax using 'Chase Investments.' However, that is not listed on the partners to import. 'Chase' is, but that link does not work (says 'our site is down.)

Thoughts on Chase Investments for 2021 taxes?

TurboTax 2021 does not have that option.

The only option with the name Chase is: Chase Bank. When you attempt that it gives an error:

"It looks like this part of our site isn't working right now.

Please try again later. Thanks for your patience.

Try again"

The options under J.P. Morgan are:

J.P. Morgan Funds, J.P. Morgan Private Bank and J.P. Morgan Securities.

None of those are correct either.

It used to be a simple process. Now it seems you can't import anything from Chase Bank. I verified that the tax statements are available but it would be very painful to manually enter it.

Anyone have a solution??

You can enter them manually in summary sections. TurboTax provides this option for exactly this scenario.

The summary sections should be on the first page of your 1099-B. It will break down the trades into four sections.

The four sections are -

Short term covered (owned for less than a year and the basis amount that was reported to the IRS is correct)
Short term non-covered (owned for less than a year and the basis amount wasn't reported at all)
Long term covered (owned for more than a year and the basis amount that was reported to the IRS is correct)
Long term non-covered (owned for more than a year and the basis amount wasn't reported at all)

After you have entered the totals into the sections that appear on your statement (you probably don't have all four) the program will offer you the option to upload a pdf of your 1099-B to attach to the return for submission.

Hello - Please note my case ([social security number removed]) has not been resolved. I am trying ti import my tax documents from JP Morgan Securities and when i enter my credentials and press on request code, I am directed to JP Morgan (chase) web site instead of sending me the code that i need to enter on Turbotax for linking Turbotax with JP Morgan. I have done this in the past and never had problems. Can please someone follow up and help resolve this issue. I called Chase and they say it is not a problem at their end so may be someone from Tech need to see if there is a glitch in software or contact JP Morgan. Thx

This is the link provided by Turbo Tax to download Chase. It does not link to anything. I had this same problem last year. I have been using Turbo Tax for at approx 10 years and this may be the last. I bought Premier to handle my investments. Turbo tax says this will not be fixed until after April 18th.
