I need to amend my taxes, my mother can not claim me so I need to claim myself. I was using turbotax and it says there is no change in the amount returned. Just wondering why since I should get a discount for claiming myself?

It depends. Your income may have already been below the standard deduction in which case there would be no additional refund except for any federal tax that might have been withheld from your wages.
If you don't have any dependents, and you are under age 25 on December 31st, there would likely be no additional amounts that could create a larger refund.
Are you sure that you are not a dependent?
Are you age 19 or older, not a full time student and you had gross income in 2022 of $4,400 or more?
yes, over 19, and made more than 4,400 and out of school
What discount are you expecting for claiming yourself? Sorry----it does not work that way. If someone can claim you, the person who can claim you gets a credit ---but you do not get a credit for saying that no one can claim you.
The criteria your parents can use to see if you can be claimed as a qualifying child or qualifying relative:
WHO CAN I CLAIM AS A DEPENDENT?
You can claim a child, relative, friend, or fiancé (etc.) as a dependent on your 2022 taxes as long as they meet the following requirements:
Qualifying child
Qualifying relative
When you add someone as a dependent, we'll ask a series of questions to make sure you can claim them. There may be other tax benefits you can get when you claim a dependent.

There are no personal exemptions on a federal tax return, those were removed from the tax code after tax year 2017. There are increased Standard Deduction after tax year 2017.
If your total income in 2022 was less than the Standard Deduction for your filing status then you would not have any taxable income. If more than the Standard Deduction then your tax original tax return and the amended return will probably be the same. You can file the amended return and enter the explanation for why you are amending.
Standard Deduction for filing as Single in 2022 - $12,950
