It depends. Your income may have already been below the standard deduction in which case there would be no additional refund except for any federal tax that might have been withheld from your wages.

  • For single taxpayers and married individuals filing separately, the standard deduction rises to $12,950 for 2022, up $400, and for heads of households, the standard deduction will be $19,400 for tax year 2022, up $600.

If you don't have any dependents, and you are under age 25 on December 31st, there would likely be no additional amounts that could create a larger refund.
