A few weeks ago, I completed my return and indicated to Turbo Tax that I would mail them in but now prefer to efile. Can I convert to an efile at this point?

If you printed your taxes to mail them in and went all the way through the File section, when you sign in to TurboTax Online you'll see the Way to go! You filed your 2020 taxes and you won't see a way to change to e-filing. As long as you haven't already mailed your 2020 paper return, you can switch to the e-filing method.

For instructions on how to do so, see How do I change from mail to e-file in TurboTax Online?

Thanks for your answer. Unfortunately, my home screen shows "Federal Printed, Ready to Mail." Furthermore,  my state is Nevada, so nothing to file there, and I don't see any method to switch to efiling. Am I missing something?

He gave you the link to the FAQ.

If you haven't efiled or mailed your return you can go back and switch to efile.  Do not click on Amend!

Click on Add a State to let you back into your return.

From Tax Home (the first screen you see after you sign in), scroll down to Your tax returns & documents. You may have to select Show to open the drop down.

Select 2020, and then select Add a State (you're not actually adding a state, this is just the workaround).

Then when you are ready to file you can try to switch to efile.

In that link what step do you get stuck on?

Unfortunately, before posting to the forum, I went through the amending process hoping that would result in an option to efile. I take it from your answer that I shot myself in the foot by doing so? Is there anyway to efile now that I have gone through the amendment screens? (I did follow the link, but no options to efile are shown.)

Go back in and delete the amended return.  Then try to change to efile.
