I downloaded the Turbo system for Mac and I am told that I need Mac OS level 10.14. I installed the latest update, and I still have 10.13.6. What am I missing?

Unfortunately, if your Mac is old and cannot update to OS 10.14, you are not able to use TurboTax installed on your computer this year.  You can use TurboTax online from any computer with a web browser. You can call customer support and ask to have the purchase price of the CD applied to your online account. Or, you can return the CD where you purchased it. If the vendor will not accept a return, you can return the CD within 60 days to TurboTax using the moneyback guarantee.

@catmurre Did you save your prior year tax returns as a tax data file (.tax)?  If so, the file can be read and edited in either software.

I was similarly in this position and came up with an easy solution.  I switched to H&R Block software this year.  The H&R Block equivalent of TurboTax Deluxe software was half the price too.  H&R Block installed, imported my previous year's TurboTax file, and ran just fine.  So it's clear this is a TurboTax issue.

I have an older mac which runs just fine for everything I use it for, it just cannot be be upgraded past Max OS X 10.13.6  TurboTax online would have cost me even more since it's a separate fee per person, not being inclusive of a few people's taxes like the software is.
