I entered my 1099 misc info on the income page, but the Income Summary is showing $0 in 1099 income.
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
If the 1099 was for self-employment it is moved to the self-employment section. The same goes for rental income; it is moved to the Rental section. When you are signed in, click on Wages & Income at the top of the page (assuming you are using TurboTax Online). Scroll down the list and you should see the income in the appropriate section. The 1099 summary will only show income related to ''Other Income''.
I too have this issue. To start, I have only entered two 1099-Misc forms. No other income (W-2 etc). Only one of the 1099-Misc shows on the summary page. The other was not "transferred" some other place. Only the amount for one 1099 show anywhere. If I go to the forms view, it is there. But this makes it difficult to make sure that all info is entered.
The income that shows is from Box 3 - Other income. The amount that doesn't show is from Box 7 - Nonemployee compensation. Where else would this show on the TurboTax summary?
Yes, you can see this income by going over to the Business Tab. It has been moved to the self-employment section. Staying under the Personal Tab, you would only see Wages, Investment Income and Other Income.
Thanks! That's the piece that I missed. Yes it is there. Thanks for the time. Seems like it is a little different this year. Have always had several 1099-Misc's. But see how this is actually better so that you can enter expenses against the income.
I am using Turbo Tax Deluxe from the purchased CD. Where is the "Business Tab"?
There is no "business" tab in Deluxe. What are you trying to enter?
The Business tab is only in the HOME & BUSINESS version ... look for the self employed Sch C section in the income tab on the Deluxe version.
