question about main home being in the US

Looking over my return, I noticed this question near the beginning of Form 1040:

"Check here if your main home, and your spouse’s if filing a joint return, was in the U.S. for more than half of 2025."

I don't see this on earlier returns, and it seems kinda obvious since my address is in the US.   Does this have something to do with the immigration stuff ?   Or is it qualifying the decision to earmark $3 for campaign funds ?

Turbotax doesn't seem to ever ask about it in the interview.
