PFL income is being counted twice

When I enter my PFL income it is counting it twice as taxable income.

I have deleted it and reentered it and it continues to show up under both: other income and 1099-G unemployment and PFL.

When I go into "other income" 1099-G - I select NO and so it is not saving it there or anywhere else.

Please advise how to address this system glitch.

PFL income is being counted twice

You only enter your Paid Family Leave from Form 1099-G in the Unemployment and paid family leave Section under Unemployment Government benefits on Form 1099-G.  It shouldn't be under Other Income.

Delete the entry under Other 1099-G Income. Follow the steps below to delete the information that you entered there.

  1. In the Wages & Income section, scroll down to Other 1099-G Income
  2. On the Government Payments Summary screen Select the trash can  next to the payment that you entered.

This should eliminate the duplicate entry.

PFL income is being counted twice

I did that multiple times as I mentioned in my first message. It is not entered anywhere else.

PFL income is being counted twice

On what lines of which forms of your tax return (not summaries or the like in TurboTax) is this PFL amount appearing?

Is this happening on your federal return (1040) or on a state return (which state?)?

Did you enter a W-2 as well? Did you check "Paid Family Leave" in the screens that follow entering the W-2?

Sorry it is not clear to me what you entered where and where the PFL appeared on your return.
