Then you are not logged into the free file site that is sponsored by the IRS. You are probably actually logging into your regular TurboTax account.
In order to use the FreeFile site, you must make a new account at that site. You can’t use your current or previous TurboTax account. Also, your web browser may automatically log you into the regular site if you have that set in your preferences. That sounds like you are no longer eligible for the Free File Program and that you need to use the TurboTax Premier online edition which is not free but is priced at $90.
This is one of the Free File Program requirements - A maximum 2019 adjusted gross income (AGI) of $36,000
What is your AGI? Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the screen. Click on Tools. Click on View Tax Summary.

My AGI is well below $36,000. I simply uploaded the information from my financial institution and was told I need to upgrade to premium for form Schedule D. I did not see anywhere that selling investments was a disqualifier from the free version (maybe it is?), and my investments and income from other sources combined are all below the $36,000 threshold. It just bugs me that it says the form is included in the free version on the website when it does not appear that it is. Hopefully I am wrong though!
I will try this. Thank you.
