Need to extend auto debit

Why wasn’t my fees deducted from my tax return? I am set to have the fee debited from my bank account on 5/7/21 and need to extend that to the 28th.

You will need to call IRS e-file Payment Services 24/7 at 1-888-353-4537 to make changes to your payment, but please wait 7 to 10 days after your return was accepted before calling.

An extension doesn't give you extra time to pay your taxes, which are due May 17, 2021.

But even if you can't pay your taxes by the deadline, file an extension to avoid the late-filing penalty.

  1. Open or continue your return in TurboTax Online.
  2. Under Manage Your Return on the bottom, left side of the screen, select File an extension.
    • If you don't see the File an extension button in Step 2 above, search for extend and select the Jump to link at the top of your search results.
  3. Follow the instructions to e-file your extension.

On the TurboTax Mobile App:

  1. Sign in and open or continue your return.
  2. Select the menu icon in the upper left.
  3. Follow the instructions to e-file your extension.

Note: If you're paying additional taxes owed with direct debit, you'll need to provide your 2019 AGI for verification purposes (if you didn't file a 2019 return, enter 0 as your AGI).

If you don't have your AGI, or your extension gets rejected for the wrong AGI, here are 2 options:

  1. Recommended: Pay your taxes at IRS Direct Pay (this also automatically gives you an extension). Instructions
  2. Download and print Form 4868, fill it out, and get it postmarked before midnight May 17. Payment and mailing instructions are on pages 3 and 4 of your printout.

For most TurboTax Online customers, the deadline to file a federal extension is April 15.

You can do this by clicking Tax Home at the upper left, then choosing Easy Extension (on mobile devices, tap the upper-left corner to open the side menu, then tap Easy Extension). You can also file your extension at our Easy Extension website.

What payment are you referring to?

The TurboTax account fees?  Federal taxes owed on the 2020 federal tax return?  State taxes owed on the 2020 state tax return?

Need to extend auto debit

I Federal Refund has been delayed. I choose to pay Turbo Tax from my refund. How do I stop the auto debit?

Need to extend auto debit

Yes, the fees from turbo tax! It was supposed to be taken out of my federal but that has not yet been disbursed. I’m panicking as I don’t have much in my account and don’t want to overdraw!! #StupidCovid

You need to contact Support and they should be able to extend your auto debit 21 days from the original date. Note: They can only defer payment once.

TURBOTAX TOOK MONEY OUT OF MY BANK ACCOUNT

Did you choose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund?  Is your refund taking an unusually long time to arrive?  Or was your refund seized to pay a debt you owed? if so, you signed an agreement that says TT can withdraw its fees from your account.  TurboTax would have sent several emails to you before they took the money out of your account.

Need to extend auto debit

I can't pay the scheduled debit date of 5/28. Can you move that transaction date to 6/1?
