To report your 1099-MISC Other Income:
I get a different question for step 6. I get the following instead.
Does one of these uncommon situations apply?
Dennis owned a farm.
This was farm rental income.
This was an Alaska Permanent Fund dividend distribution.
This was a tribal member gaming payment.
This was prize winnings.
This was money from a lawsuit settlement.
Dennis was in a research study and this was the payment.
This was a manufacturer's incentive payment.
This was money from Olympic or Paralympic prize money.
None of these apply.
The other income is from a solar program incentive like MA SMART Program. I have solar panels on my house. If I select "none of these apply", this would be flagged during the review stage and it wants me to put something for Schedule C. Would it be correct to select "manufacturer's incentive payment"?
Yes, you can check the manufacturer's Incentive payment because this is an incentive program.
