Multiple State Filings, Income Tax withheld not showing

I'm trying to files in multiple states, but when I view the summary, it shows $0 Income Tax paid even though my company withheld/paid state taxes on my W2.  It says I own a large amount of State taxes, but I don't think this is correct.  How can I adjust the state income tax already paid?

Multiple State Filings, Income Tax withheld not showing

Go back to the W-2 section and check the state codes that were entered in Box 15 of TurboTax. The state codes should match your W-2s, otherwise TurboTax will put your state withholding in the wrong state.

  1. Type w-2 in Search in the upper right
  2. Select Jump to W-2
  3. Edit your W-2
  4. Find Box 15 and check the codes

Also, if you worked in multiple states, did the company withhold state income tax in all states? You may owe because the company did not withhold in some states you worked in.

Finally, did you list the correct income amounts in each state? If you were a part-year or nonresident, you'll need to adjust your income in each state in the state sections to what you actually earned.

That fixed my problem.  When I imported my W2 from my Employer, TurboTax only imported the entries for my 1st state.  I had to manually add the entries for my 2nd state in Box 15 as you described.  Thanks!
