Missing 2021 Form 1116

Turbo tax keeps saying waiting for form 1116. I don't need to file that form. I don't have any foreign income. How do I bypass this?

You can check on your dividend information where there may be foreign tax paid.

If you do not have any foreign tax paid then you can delete form 1116.

You can also delete the form 1116 in TTO

• Open or continue your return in TurboTax.
• In the left menu, select Tax Tools and then Tools.
• In the pop-up window Tool Center, choose Delete a form.
• Select Delete next to the form 1116 and delete the form

In the TTDesktop 

• Open your tax return
• Switch to forms mode
• Delete the Form 1116

The TurboTax website reported 3/3/2022 as of today.  However, it has been delayed twice, so it may be delayed again.  (See prior replies for a link to the chart.)

The update for Form 1116 was supposed to be available Feb 17th, its now Feb 22nd and the update is still not available. Is there a new "availability" date?

This is beyond ridiculous Intuit. The date keeps slipping from February 17 to now March 3. I have used Turbotax since 2004 and have never had an issue like this. The form is on the IRS's website for weeks now.  The ease of use of Turbotax has kept me coming back for years. This was an annoyance a few weeks ago that now leaves me to question continuing to use the product.

Form 1116, Foreign Tax Credit is estimated to be available on 03/03/2022

Hi .. The Form 1116 is still missing.  Today is FEB 22, 2022 ... and I am still getting the message that the form is not ready.  I believe it was stated it would be available on 2/17/22.  ANY UPDATE when it will be in Turbo Tax Premier (downloaded or CD version)??

Guys, this is unacceptable. This form is needed for us to complete our taxes. The longer we wait now the longer we will get stuck in queue being processed by the IRS. Folks who are impacted by this should get some type of credit for next year's Turbo Tax or something....

Now almost a month later than when the IRS had Form 1116 available.....also holding up filing my return. Now TurboTax is showing it available March 3rd.....not sure I should believe that either.  May need to start using a different program than TurboTax for my taxes.

Agreed, Turbo Tax is not the clear choice if they can't have the forms ready in time to file. I have always filed as early as possible to avoid processing delays on the IRS side.
