I have not experienced this issue with my Mac. I did get the "we've hit a snag" message a few times after I first installed 2024.

See this help article for troubleshooting steps for Mac issues. Also, here are the minimum system requirements for using TurboTax for tax year 2024.
If you have all of the minimum system requirements, you might also try clearing your cache and cookies. Sometimes using a different browser helps. Chrome generally works well.
Here are some other options:
Some users have reported that moving their TurboTax files to a different folder solved their issue.
Install TurboTax again from the download file to the Applications folder. Start TurboTax from the Applications folder and let it run the updates.
Empty the Trash again. To make sure everything is working smoothly, restart your Mac again.
Check your Internet connection. Hardwired connections work best.
If after trying all of the options mentioned you still have the same problem:

This is the exact issue I'm having. Can't find a way to fix it at all. Any help would be appreciated.
Try this:
1 Quit TurboTax
2 Move your tax file to a different folder
3 Open TurboTax by double clicking the file your moved to the new folder
I'm new to Mac computers and I have no idea how to do that. If I was using a windows computer that I'm used to I would have no problem doing that.
On my Mac, TurboTax 2024 launches from the Applications folder. Prior years launch from the apps dock.

Hi everyone,
OP here. I want to reiterate that for me, the issue was resolved when I updated to the latest version of the application. However, it occurs to me that others may need to make sure to clean up some additional things to make sure the application gets reset to its initial state. These were things that the Intuit AI chatbot suggested and are kind of advanced operations, so I hope you guys can manage them.
First, be sure to download and install the latest update. The application should do that on its own when you launch it. Then quit the application.
Second, open the "Keychain Access" application. It's not in your regular Applications folder, it's buried in under /System/Library/CoreServices/Applications. You can do a search (cmd-space from the finder) for "Keychain Access" to find it. Within the application, type "intuit" in the search box. You will probably see at least four items in the list. Right click each of them and select the drop-down menu item to delete them.
Third, you'll need to remove your preferences file in your hidden Library folder. In the Finder, use "Go->Go to Folder" or hit command-shift-G. Type "~/Library/Application Support" in the search box and press return. Find the folder "TurboTax 2024" and drag it to the trash. Then empty the trash.
Hopefully that will reset the application to its original state, and then the software will launch correctly the next time you open it.
If all this is too daunting, another solution is to create a new user account on your computer and try to use TurboTax from that account. You will still need to make sure to install the latest TurboTax update. Good luck everyone.
Restart MAC in SAFE mode. Then Start Turbotax 24.
