Log-in and Navigation Issues - Timing Out, Maybe 2 Accounts?,

I keep timing out while I am in the community. It is driving me crazy!!!! Almost every time I move to look at notifications in my account, I am booted off. What can I do to stay logged in?

I also get so confused because sometimes when I log in, it takes me to the community, sometimes to my account, and sometimes to my online taxes.

And, I have posted a couple questions that don't seem to appear under my feed. I then realized that sometimes I see a "T" and sometimes I see and "F" when I am logged in. So, I'm thinking somehow I have two accounts that aren't talking to each other. Or, maybe I'm not logged in at all? I don't know.

How do I clear this up? How do I stay logged in?

Let's see if we can clear some of this up.

  1. It does appear as though you have two accounts so be sure you are signing in with the account you want to use.  Once that happens you will have questions and answers showing up under the same user/login.
  2. It's very important to clear your cache and cookies.
    • This handles many issues that seem nonsensical on a regular basis.
    • Close your TurboTax return first, then follow the instructions below.

Watch to be sure you are selecting 'all time' as example.  Do not use selections like 'last hour' for those browsers that give  you options.

Once this is complete open your return and select to enter your income.

  1. Open your return
  2. Begin your entry
  3. Open your Community page

Log-in and Navigation Issues - Timing Out, Maybe 2 Accounts?,

I do not understand how I could be logging in to 2 different accounts because I am only using one password.

As for the cache, here's my concern. I suddenly lost my spouse a year ago. This is their computer that I just started using because mine has no battery life, no hard drive space, and the operating system too old to load TurboTax. But, I still need to poke around on this computer to figure out what my spouse was doing before they died because they were a programmer and building software for us to sell. I'm concerned if I clear the cache, I won't be able to see what they were seeing, especially if they were automatically logging into some places, or figure out stuff and gather the information I need to give to my son to see if he can salvage 7 years worth of work.

So, I would like to know, first, is there a way to combine both my accounts?  And, if I close out everything and restart the computer, could that maybe fix it without clearing the cache?
