Originally bought TT Deluxe. Needed to upgrade to Premier. Intuit gladly took my $35 upgrade fee but I did not get the Premier software. Don't know how to fix this.

what worked for me was to return the whole thing and then buy the correct version.
After following the instructions for payment of the upgrade, the desktop software you are currently using should indicate Premier in the blue band at the top of the screen in the left with the TurboTax logo. If you are not seeing Premier then save your tax return and close the TurboTax program. Start the TurboTax program again and Premier should be indicated.
I figured out this issue right after posting. I thought the software would have been immediately upgraded while in the app. I actually needed to go to my email and use the new download link for TT Premier. Oh, I also needed to uninstall the Deluxe version. Seems cumbersome but it is what it is.
Did all of the above and the darn thing is still showing deluxe. Why is this so difficult?
This does not work for me. Tried twice.
So, this is what I had to do. Not mentioned in these posts or by Intuit instructions anywhere that I notices. You have to go to the Help-> Switch Product -> Activate New Product. Only knew to even try this because I have seen it on other products. Not documented or highlighted anywhere that I saw.
You added on to an old post. The instructions have changed since last year. But why do you (or anyone) need to upgrade to a higher Desktop version? All the Desktop programs have the same forms. You just get more help and guidance in the higher versions.
