Is there a way to attach a statement to my efiled federal and state tax return?

I see this question has been asked in previous years but it seems the answer has always been "no, you need to print out your return and mail it in with your statement". I'm hoping this has changed for TurboTax 2015. Thanks.

Unfortunately, no, you cannot add any attachments to your return.  If you need to attach something, you will have to file by mail.

Why is Turbotax so stubborn in refusing to add this capability.  TaxAct has had this feature for many, many years.   Also I believe that Turbotax Professional version has this feature.  So there is absolutely no technical reason that it can't be implemented.
