Hi, My wife received a 1099-NEC with her first name mispelled. Do we need to get the 1099 corrected? Or, as long as all of the other info (including SSN) is correct, will the IRS not care?

The IRS looks at the social security number and first 4 characters of the last name
Actually I would just enter the total income as Other self employment income or as Cash or General income. You don't need to get a 1099NEC or 1099Misc or 1099K. Even if you did you can enter all your income as Cash. Only the total goes to schedule C.
