In the Tax preparation process where / when do I add my federal IP Pin

You can enter your IP PIN at any time while preparing your tax return.

To enter the IP PIN, please follow these steps:

1. In TurboTax Online, open your return
2. Click on Search (magnifying glass icon) at the top right of your screen
3. In the Search box, enter IP PIN and click Enter
4. In the search result box, click on Jump to IP PIN
5. TurboTax will take you directly to the section where you can start entering your IRS IP PIN.

If you have a 6 digit PIN issued to you by the IRS you need to enter it in order to e-file.  Go to Federal>Other Tax Situations>Other Return Info>Identity Protection PIN and enter the six-digit PIN.
