Every year I think I'll give TT one more chance to provide the support I paid for. Last year I had decent response so I let my account renew automatically. I've called 2 numbers provided by TT and am unable to reach a real live person with either one. The robotic service is worthless. I have the download version of Home and Business Advantage with Expert tax advice included. One number, [phone number removed] gave the message that I need to schedule an appointment with an expert online. Yet after logging in to my account, there is no option to do so, only options for TT products to buy. 800.446.8848 connects with a robot who doesn't understand what I want and refuses to connect me to anyone who can help.
Does anyone have a secret passage through their tortuous system?

You are confused about what you purchased. If you have Home and Business --- that software is desktop software---the CD/download. The CD/download software does not include "Live" expert help from a CPA. That live expert help is a feature of the online Self-Employed Live software.
If you have the CD/download you can ask for help from customer support or you can post questions here in the user forum, but you do not get one on one help from a CPA the way that users of online Live get.

I don't know how you're affiliated with TT. While you pretend to speak with some sort of authority or knowledge, you actually know nothing about my situation. The main selling point for me purchasing this TT product was the expert support that came with it. For all of the 6 or so years I've been using TT, CPAs have been available to me over the phone. In order to reach an expert, I have to call the support number and have someone, i.e. a live person, transfer me to the expert. The issue I'm having now, which you didn't address, other than provide a link to the phone number I referenced, is that I can't get the obnoxious robot to connect me to anyone who can help me.
It would be interesting to know if anyone at TT reads this community board. I figure they spent so much money on Super Bowl ads, they cut back their support staff even more.
