The tax date from the W-2 is entered on a Form 1040 for your federal tax return.  The Form 1040 is sent to the IRS.

You can e-file a 2023 tax return using TurboTax at any time on or before October 15, 2024.  After that date the tax return can only be printed and mailed using TurboTax.
