I would like to file for an extension

I am waiting on some paperwork and wouldn’t to have my taxes done with turbo tax once I receive them. I would also like to know how to contact an agent so I can work with them . Thanks.

You have to choose TurboTax Live when you begin your tax return, or you can select it as you are preparing your return.  To select TurboTax Live:

1. Launch TurboTax
2. Select Live Tax Advice at the top of your screen
3. A panel will appear on the right where you have the option to upgrade to TurboTax Live.

The extension gives you until October 15, 2025 to file your taxes without getting a failure to file penalty.  You don't get extra time to pay your taxes so you must pay any taxes that you may have that are due by April 15, 2025 so you won't be assessed the failure to pay penalty.
