In the File section of the program on Step 2 there is an option to pay the federal taxes owed by mailing a check.

Yes you can mail a check.  It should ask how you want to pay.  But you have to pay the Turbo Tax fees first with a credit card.

You can e-file the returns.  When it asks you how you want to pay your federal tax due, one of the options you can click is that you will pay by check.  Then---just pay the tax due by April 18, whether you actually mail the check or use the IRS site to pay directly.

If you have federal tax due you can pay by mailing your payment with the 1040V voucher, (which has the address printed on it, having the payment taken out of a designated bank account, or you can pay directly on the IRS website.

You must pay your state tax due using the state’s preferred method of receiving payment.  For most states that will be by making a payment to the state’s own tax website, or by mailing a check or money order.
