I said no to premium, but after everything TurboTax charged 39.99 plus 29.99, do I have to start over to get rid of the 39.99 charge?

In order to find out what the fee 39.99 is for, follow these instructions before starting over:

  • Open your return and go to the left menu column and click TAX TOOLS.
  • Then choose TOOLS.
  • In the Tools window, choose MY FEES.
Once you find out what the fee is for, you can find out if there are options to have that fee removed, that way you won't need to start all the way over.
